An acid peel, also known as a chemical peel, is a professional treatment that uses specially formulated acids to dissolve the bonds holding dead skin cells to the surface. Once those cells shed, fresh healthy skin is revealed underneath — brighter, smoother and more even in tone.
Our Luxury Revitalise and Glow Face Skin Peel is a superficial peel using gluconolactone, phytic, citric and glycolic acids, balanced to a pH of around 1.5 — ideal for acne scarring, pigmentation, congestion and early signs of ageing. The Luxury Anti-Ageing Face Skin Peel is our more advanced option for fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness. Tashia will recommend the right one at consultation.
Most clients feel a mild tingling or warmth during the treatment, which settles quickly. Peels are far gentler than the name suggests — there is no scrubbing or mechanical abrasion involved at any point.
Some light flaking over the following days is normal and a sign the treatment is working. Let the skin shed naturally — picking or pulling at flaking skin risks marking and should always be avoided.
You will see a difference after a single peel, but results build with a course. A course of 3 to 6 treatments spaced a few weeks apart delivers the strongest results for pigmentation, acne scarring and texture. Tashia will set out the right plan for your skin.
Peels suit most skin types and are tailored to your skin at consultation. They are not suitable over active infections or broken skin, during pregnancy, or alongside certain medications such as Roaccutane. Tashia will screen for contraindications before treating.

Before Your Treatment
Consultation
Book a consultation so Tashia can assess your skin type and concerns and select the right peel strength for you.
Discontinue Actives
Stop using retinoids, AHAs, BHAs and exfoliating products for at least 5 to 7 days before your appointment.
Avoid Sun Exposure
Avoid sun exposure and sunbeds in the week before your peel, and use a high SPF daily — sun-exposed skin reacts more strongly.
No Waxing or Threading
Avoid facial waxing, threading and hair removal creams for at least a week before treatment.
Arrive Make-Up Free
Come with clean skin where possible, and tell Tashia about any medications, allergies, skin conditions or recent treatments.
Recovery & Results
After Your Treatment
Let the Skin Shed
Some light flaking is normal and expected. Never pick, peel or pull at flaking skin — let it shed naturally to avoid marking.
Gentle Cleansing
Use a mild, non-irritating cleanser and lukewarm water for the first few days, and pat the skin dry rather than rubbing.
Moisturise Regularly
Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturiser to keep the skin comfortable and support its recovery.
Sun Protection
Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day. Freshly peeled skin is far more vulnerable to sun damage and pigmentation.
Avoid Heat
No saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, swimming or strenuous exercise for 48 hours after your peel.
Skip Actives for a Week
Avoid retinoids, acids, scrubs and exfoliating treatments for at least a week so the skin can settle fully.
No Makeup for 24 Hours
Give the skin 24 hours before applying makeup, and choose non-comedogenic products when you do.
