What is it?

Release tension,
restore balance

Our luxury massage treatments are about far more than an hour of quiet. Massage improves blood circulation, eases muscle strain, lowers cortisol and supports lymphatic drainage — physical benefits that build with regular sessions rather than fading the moment you get off the couch.

Choose Swedish massage for pure relaxation, aromatherapy to treat body and mind together with essential oils, or deep tissue and sports massage for chronic tension, knots and injury recovery. Alongside these we offer reflexology, a grounding treatment working pressure points on the feet, and Theragun percussive therapy for rapid, targeted muscle release.

Every treatment is carried out by Tashia at our Forest Hill studio, by appointment only. Tell us where you are holding tension and what you want from the session, and the pressure, technique and focus are adjusted to suit you.

Great for treating

Six reasons clients
keep coming back

Mental Stress

Long, gliding strokes significantly lower cortisol levels, making Swedish massage ideal for anyone carrying stress in their body as much as their mind.

General Muscle Tension

Improves blood circulation and eases superficial muscle strain — perfect for first-time massage goers and anyone needing pure, unadulterated relaxation.

Chronic Pain & Knots

Deep tissue and sports massage use firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper muscle and fascia, relieving chronic pain and breaking down scar tissue.

Sports Recovery

Excellent for athletes and physically demanding jobs — improving mobility, aiding recovery from sports injuries and restoring range of motion.

Low Mood & Poor Sleep

Aromatherapy combines gentle massage with the therapeutic power of essential oils, whether you need to be uplifted or calmed.

Hormonal Imbalance

Reflexology applies pressure to points on the feet to promote healing in corresponding organs and systems — grounding, balancing, and ideal if you'd rather not have a full-body massage.

Benefits

How This
Treatment Helps

Improved Circulation

Massage increases blood flow throughout the body, delivering oxygen and nutrients to tired muscles and supporting lymphatic drainage.

Lower Stress Levels

Swedish and aromatherapy massage significantly lower cortisol, the body's primary stress hormone, leaving you calmer for days rather than hours.

Relief From Chronic Tension

Deep tissue work reaches the deeper layers of muscle and fascia to release long-held knots, ease stiff necks and improve mobility.

Faster Recovery

Theragun percussive therapy delivers rapid, concentrated pulses deep into muscle tissue, increasing blood flow and breaking up scar tissue.

Whole-Body Balance

Reflexology stimulates specific pressure points to promote healing in corresponding organs and systems — deeply grounding and balancing.

Better Sleep & Mood

Essential oils work on the mind as the massage works on the body, improving mood, sleep quality and emotional wellbeing.

Common Questions

Everything you
need to know

We want you to feel confident and informed before your appointment. Here are the questions we hear most often.

Still have questions? Call Tashia directly or send a message — we’re always happy to chat through your concerns.

Swedish for pure relaxation and general tension — ideal if it’s your first massage. Aromatherapy if you want a sensory experience for mood and sleep. Deep tissue or sports massage for chronic knots, injuries or physically demanding work. Reflexology for a grounding, holistic treatment without a full-body massage. Theragun for rapid, targeted muscle release.

It uses firm pressure and slow strokes, so you’ll feel it working — but it should never be painful. Tell Tashia at any point if the pressure needs adjusting; the treatment is tailored to what your body can comfortably take.

Most clients find every 4 to 6 weeks keeps tension from building back up. If you’re working through a specific injury or chronic pain, a closer run of sessions to begin with works better, then space them out.

A Theragun device delivers rapid, concentrated pulses of pressure deep into the muscle tissue. It increases blood flow, breaks up scar tissue and rapidly relieves tightness and knots — particularly good for sports recovery and restricted range of motion.

An ancient Chinese technique applying pressure to energy points on the feet and hands to restore balance and improve organ function. It’s incredibly grounding, and a good choice if you’d prefer not to have a full-body massage.

Massage isn’t suitable with certain conditions, in the first trimester of pregnancy, or over recent injuries, infections or skin conditions. Tell us about your health and any medications when you book, and we’ll adapt or advise accordingly.

Instructions

Before & Aftercare
Guidelines

Following these instructions carefully will ensure
the best possible results and a smooth, safe recovery from your massage treatment.

Preparation

Before Your Treatment

Eat Lightly

Avoid a heavy meal in the two hours before your appointment — a light snack is ideal.

Arrive Hydrated

Drink water beforehand. Well-hydrated muscle tissue responds better and flushes out more easily afterwards.

Arrive a Little Early

Give yourself a few minutes to settle so the treatment starts relaxed rather than rushed.

Tell Us Where It Hurts

Point out any specific areas of tension, injuries or sensitivity so pressure and technique can be tailored to you.

Disclose Health Conditions

Let us know about any medical conditions, medications, allergies or if you are or may be pregnant.

Recovery & Results

After Your Treatment

Drink Plenty of Water

Hydration helps flush out the waste products released from your muscles during the massage.

Rest if You Can

Take it easy for the rest of the day where possible — the benefits deepen if you don't go straight back into stress.

Expect Some Tenderness

Mild tenderness for a day or two after deep tissue work is normal, similar to the feeling after exercise.

Stretch Gently

Light stretching in the days afterwards helps maintain the mobility gained during your session.

Avoid Alcohol

Skip alcohol for the rest of the day — it works against the detoxifying effect of the treatment.

Book Your Next Session

Regular treatments every 4 to 6 weeks stop tension rebuilding, and the benefits are cumulative.

If you experience pain that worsens rather than settles, unusual bruising, numbness, or any concerning symptoms after your treatment — please contact us on 07803 285619 and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
